Job Purpose

As a Business Analyst you will be part of our growing fast-paced team, focused on Roastar’s key strategic initiatives by supporting elaboration and business requirements-gathering with cross functional project teams, key stakeholders, and end users, in addition to writing test plans and conducting system testing. Your efforts will directly impact process improvement, streamline the customer journey, and satisfy business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.

  • Work closely with cross functional project teams, key stakeholders, and customers to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges.

  • Facilitate communication and translate clear & concise Design & Technical requirements gathering to development & testing.

  • Create detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use.

  • Ensure that proposed Design and Technical solutions align with the organization's strategic goals, business requirements and technological capabilities.

  • Serve as a liaison between project teams, business stakeholders and technology teams.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to various audiences.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with project manager(s) to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Assist in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.

  • Develop test plans, participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of implemented solutions.

  • Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency enhancement and assist with elaboration.

  • Analyze documents, data, user surveys, and workflows. Interpret and translate the needs of customers into operational processes which will deliver problem-solving solutions, as must-haves.

  • Document business requirements and the needs of end-users throughout their purchasing journey.

  • Research and propose technologies & programs that support key growth initiatives.

  • Participate in weekly team meetings; provide input on metrics, to-do’s and issues and follow up on quarterly rock milestone updates.

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 2+ years Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field.

  • Proficient in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.

  • Experience with project management methodologies/tools and software development lifecycle.

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) is a plus.

  • Experience working in an agile environment.

  • Experience working with an eCommerce company preferred.

  • Data visualization and storytelling, providing stakeholders the information needed to make data driven decisions.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence, Monday, GitHub, etc.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – ability to present information clearly.

  • Self-directed, highly motivated problem solver.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across the organization (at all levels).

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Relentless desire to learn, an out-of-the-box thinker, with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize workload.

  • Confidence and professionalism in representing the Company. Dependable and punctual.

Our hybrid work model allows you to enjoy the benefits of working from home, but also provides the opportunity for team building and collaboration when working in the office. This position is not fully remote and requires on-site availability 3-4 days per week to collaborate on projects and process improvement initiatives.
