The Quality Specialist will be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving in-process production, finished products, and recording the results.

Job Purpose
The Quality Specialist will be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving in-process production, finished products, and recording the results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.
Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the Production Manager
Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
Facilitate internal MRA process
Assist in training operators on tolerances and proper measuring techniques
Place any non-conforming product on HOLD and complete required additional follow-up testing
Assist in cycle counting for the on-HOLD area
Assist in packaging & shipping areas as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by Quality & Engineering Manager

Education and/or Experience
Attention to detail and organizational skills are required
Good communication skills (verbal and written) are required
Work experience and knowledge of packaging industry is preferred
High School Diploma/GED required
Specific Skills and Licensure
Good record of job performance, attendance, and punctuality
Computer experience is required
Knowledge in Microsoft Excel
MRP experience/knowledge is preferred
Good to excellent math skills are required
Individual initiative/assertiveness and follow through are required
