The capacity of bag sizes we provide are approximations only. The capacity (ex. 2 lb, 5 lb) is based on tests using whole coffee beans. A bag's capacity will vary depending on the product - and for coffee, the type of bean and style of roasting impacts fill volume. For example, salt vs. tea; salt weighs more than most teas.
